Rainbow In The Dark is a group exhibition featuring 24 Visually Impaired artists from Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped. Questioning personal perceptions of what is the norm such as the “Do not touch” label found in visual arts exhibition, the artists invite viewers to take a personal journey with them to appreciate the arts through their sense of touch in the dark.
This exhibition hopes to generate more awareness, to facilitate more opportunities for social interaction and social inclusion for the beneficiaries through arts.
The project consists of 10 sessions of art-as-therapy workshops where beneficiaries go through an artistic process with art therapist, Loh Wan Ting. It aims to help empower them through the introduction to different sensory-based ways of creating artworks.
